Casey and Robert had the sweetest outdoor wedding by the castle in St. Augustine. This set of photos captures some of the great moments. In a Precious Parts collage we make a single print that has nine individual images of some of the cutest baby parts. We often create it in browntone like this recent example. Young Mr. Alex has a great smile and a few teeth and all his other pieces parts are adorable. Madison and Savannah - Poodle Skirts Deluxe

Madison and sister Savannah wore these cool poodle skirts to a recent birthday party for their grandad. Later they came by for some fun portraits together and separatly. The dancing, spinning ones fit the poodle skirts perfectly. These young ladies are fantastic models - so beautiful and playful. Coleman Family - Sunrise at the Beach

This is another of the sunrise sessions we did during Powers Photography Beach Week 2009. The Colemans are long time clients and we did their wedding a few years ago. We started at 6am and this seemed a bit early to the kids. At first! As you can see from the portraits - the kids are pretty active. The beach brings out the child in everyone. Playing in the waves and running through the surf - I had such a great time creating these images. The early moring light is so beautiful. Thanks - Stewart

Portraits Express A Thousand Words - The Farrells

We have photographed the Farrell family for many years and this was our first session for them at the beach. They love the beach and spend a lot of time there each summer. We started with the kids and the pup while we waited for the sun to set a bit.
The walking on the beach images is one of my favorite for the year - it just shows the warmth and fun that kids and family are about. It tells a story, which is what portraits can do - they portray. Their kids are precious and we had fun chasing them in waves and sand castles. Susan and I had a great time and we did not want to leave.

Brody - Playing and Eating Cake - Powers Garden Portraits

My name is Brody and I am a cutie. Watch me play in the garden. These are good smiles.See how tall I am. My mom dresses me very cool. Then a bit of splashy time in the Powers garden pond.  I did feed the fish - then I scared them near to death. Good to be a boy. Next - birthday cake. I am one year young today. I get my own cake. I eat a bit - and wear the rest. Good times. I love to photograph the babies - too much fun. Stewart 

Brevyn,Ryland and Cynthia - Beach Portraits at Powers Photography

We get the best environmental photos at sunrise on the east coast of Florida. We start before the sun rises (about 5:50am) - and have to use flash to reveal the family with the sunrise sky in the background. Next the sun peeks through and we have a semi-silhouette of mother Cynthia with Brevyn and Ryland playing in the sand and water. That is a once in a lifetime environmental portrait that stops time with the sunlight revealing the poetry of family.
Once the sun is up the "look" changes. The kids played in the surf, explored the sand and generally acted like kids at the beach. I chased them about and tried to capture the true life beach experience. Brevyn and Ryland are exceptional kids - playful and beautiful - we had fun chasing them. - Stewart

Family fun at the Beach

Here's one of our family beach sessions! What a joy to photograph such a beautiful family having so much fun. The best part was the sand in the hair at the end...it doesn't get any better!!! Katie & Jerry - Sign-In Guest Book at Powers Photography

This is the layout for a sign-in book for the guests at Katie and Jerry's wedding last week. Susan and I made the photos at a field near SFCC and the urban views in downtown G'Ville.
